Mommy had the day off so we took a quick trip to the zoo to burn some toddler energy. There was a baby giraffe that was born just 2 weeks ago and Janie got to see him. She also let Big GG ride on her shoulders like she usually does on Daddy’s shoulders.
The nice thing about going on a weekday is that there’s no crowd and you get a clear view of the animals.
The next stop was the penguin feeding. They were refilling the pool for them and each penguin got a tasty fish. Janie said, “they’re eating pickles, Mama!”
Then we went to visit Mr. Hippo. As usual, he was sleeping in the water so Janie wanted to climb and sit on the statue instead.
We also watched the two brown bears run around chasing each other. Janie was so excited to pet the statue of the bear afterward. She said, “brown bear so big!”
She also said, “brown bear has mocos!” Funny girl.
Big GG also gave the bear a kiss.
Before heading home, we rode the train. She was so excited.
She also waved to the people we passed and said, “tunnel fun!”
