Peanut is 7 weeks old today! Look at how chunky his thighs are now!
Here some highlights from this past week:
- We opened the pack of Size 2 diapers this week and he’s sort of in between sizes now.
- Only a few of his 0-3 clothes still fit. Makes Mama sad. Even his 3-month clothes are getting tight too. I’m gonna have to bring out the 3-6 month clothes next week.
- We think he went through a growth spurt this week because he’s been extra fussy and always hungry. He gave Yai a hard time on Monday afternoon while Mama left to pick up Janie from school. He was inconsolable – even after drinking almost 6 ounces of milk!
- We also think he caught whatever Janie had last week. He had a stuffy nose and a dry cough that went away rather quickly.
- So far his record for nighttime sleep is 7 hours straight but he also wakes up every 1-2 hours in the early morning hours. During the day, he will nap 2-3 hours when he’s not going through a growth period.
- His social smile was a lot more apparent and more consistent this week. It’s so fun to see him respond to our voices and facial expressions. He also likes to watch and listen to his big sister.
- Peanut has been cooing and squeaking more lately. We’re hearing mostly “hoo” and a “guh” sound. He’s also been very good at making a “maaaaa” sound when he’s mad.
- He also has double eyelids now. They appear most often after he’s woken from a nap.
- Peanut went to his first baseball game this week but slept through most of it.
Our little dude is growing so fast before our eyes and he seems to change daily.
Happy 7 weeks, Peanut! Love you!
