We went back to the California Academy of Sciences today and it’s amazing how much more she understands and notices now. Aside from still obsessing over the stairs, she pointed to things and said “agua” and signed “fish” throughout the afternoon. She also noticed the big dinosaur at the entrance and paused to look at it. The life-sized stuffed giraffes also took her by surprise.
Here she is in the penguin room pointing out all the animals to Dada. She would point and say “Ooo. Wow.”
We started out downstairs in the aquarium and she liked this tank that had lots of bubbles in it. She pointed and said “bubble”.
Afterward, we moved our way up to the rainforest dome.
She’s really into walking with her hands behind her back.

Here she is in action.
It was her first time and she liked running up the ramp to the top. She didn’t notice the butterflies but we’ll have to save that for next time.
Here’s a video of her walking over the shark lagoon. She would run full speed and then stop suddenly at the floor windows.

After a little while and watching the other kids, she mustered up enough courage to give it a try. Eventually, she was able to walk right over the windows. Good job, Big Girl!!
We also visited the Early Explorers Cove, which is tucked away in the back of the museum.
Thanks for the tip, Auntie Ranee! She loved the Legos table!
What a fun afternoon!!
