Today Ankong and Ama threw Janie a party at Capital Seafood in Irvine.
Everyone enjoyed Dim Sum and Janie met the Jangs for the first time! Micah came a little late so we didn’t get a photo of him. 🙁
Great Auntie Jeanie was even nice enough to feed her too!
We now have a nightly routine. I feed her at 9:00 pm, go to bed around 10:00 pm, and Jes stays up to feed her at 12:00 am. Sometimes she’s practically eating in her sleep at midnight. With this plan, I get about 6 hours of sleep before she wakes up again at 4:00 am. That’s when I pick her up and feed/change her in the livingroom and she sleeps in the bassinet on the chair while I sleep on the couch for the rest of the morning. That way she can fuss as much as she needs while Jes gets enough sleep for work in the morning. It’s been going well so far and last night was about the same. However, a certain little baby woke up again at 6:30 and didn’t want to go back to sleep. So, I plopped her next to me on the couch and hung out with her until we both fell asleep. When Jes got up to get ready for work, he found us sleeping together like this.
We didn’t wake up until 9:00 am for her next feeding. Afterward, she was in such a good mood that she was perfectly happy just sitting under the blanket with me on the couch.
We’re staying in a hotel suite this weekend and last night Little Janie slept in the portable bed we brought from home. We kept the routine the same last night and it was business a usual this morning. Good girl!
It looks like Janie woke up a new baby this morning and the growth spurt period is done. She was in a great mood today with very little fussing and her feeds went back to every 3 hours. Phew!
It’s happening again. Our little girl is going through a feeding frenzy and has been a little more irritable. It’s the 6-week growth spurt!!! We hope it won’t last long.
Daddy got to feed Janie today for the first time.
The feeding was going so well that he decided to show off his skillz with a No-Hand Technique.
Guess who’s mastered the art of drinking from a bottle on the first try!
Check out that belly! She just had breakfast and has such a content look on her face.
She eats and smiles in her sleep like her mommy. Click here if you can’t see the video above.
