Peanut is FIVE!

Our Peanut turned 5 years old today! It started with an early morning trip with Mama to buy a birthday donut.

Later that afternoon, we went to Yai and Ta’s house for his King’s Hawaiian paradise cake.

It was like a redo from his first birthday when he did not like the cake very much. He only tasted it and then cried.

On his fifth birthday, he thoroughly enjoyed the cake and gobbled up the entire slice.

Here’s a review of some things he accomplished this past year:

  • Completed Pre-Kindergarten and started remote Kindergarten during a pandemic.
  • Learned how to ride a bicycle.
  • Took his first ride on a ski lift and snowboarded with the family.
  • Learned how to swim and took the floaties off.
  • Learned how to read 3-letter words.

Happy 5th Birthday to our Baby Boy!!

Lunch Duty

Mama had the day off so she went to volunteer at Janie’s lunch time today. After they eat, all the kids go outside to play. It was nice to see her playing with a variety of kids. She spent the most time playing in the sand today.

Super Scholar

Janie came home with her blue card filled with 20 stickers. Her teacher has a color behavior system where each student starts on green and can move down to yellow, orange, and red or up to blue. If you get blue at the end of the day, for being a “Super Scholar”, you get a sticker. Once you earn 20 stickers, you get a prize out of the treasure box. Today, she got to redeem her stickers and got a yo-yo. Turns out Janie takes after Mama and not Dada at school. Phew.

Also, we took this photo after picking up Peanut from school where she lost her SECOND tooth! It’s the lower front tooth next to the first one she lost. Our baby girl is growing up way too fast for us.
