My mom told me that when I was little, I had to sit on the sofa quietly while the grown-ups ate dinner. I thought, “what a good idea!” So now that Janie is strong enough to sit by herself in the corner of the sofa, I thought I’d try it.

So after she had her 7 pm feeding, I put her down with some toys and some pillows to keep her stable.
We sat down for dinner across the room and watched her just sit there and play with her toys for at least a half hour. She even found her giraffe nearby and put the pacifier in all by herself. What a good little baby.
