Eggs n Things
We had breakfast at Eggs n Things today. So happy it’s open for business!
Peanut got a strawberry waffle. Look how big that is!
Janie got chocolate chip pancakes. Yum!
Japanese Dinner
We all went out for a traditional Japanese dinner this evening. The kids came prepared with things to keep them busy while we waited for the food.
This is one of the places Mama and Dada used to go all the time before the kids were born. Happy to see they are still in business through the pandemic.
This is the nighttime view from our lanai. So pretty!

Kids Table
With Hawaii’s strict rules about having no more than 5 people at a table, we’ve been giving the kids their own table when we are all together. They did a great job staying entertained and also managed to eat most of their food.
International Marketplace
The International Marketplace looks a lot different from before the swanky remodel but the kids enjoyed exploring it anyway.
Here is one of the original banyan trees that was kept at the property.
The boys also gave this crazy car a “test drive”.
Morning Walk
Peanut was up early and found a way to quietly entertain himself while everyone was sleeping.
He got hungry so we went for a Mama/Peanut walk to the ABC Store to buy Spam musubi and other little treats.
Turtle Surfing
We were out at the beach really early today and Peanut gave the turtle a test run.
Evening in Waikiki
This evening, we went out for shave ice at Island Vintage just outside our hotel. We also hung out in Toni and Thomas’ hotel room for a bit.
Beach and Pool Day
We were up early again and the kids watched the sun go up again. It really doesn’t get old.
We went down early to get a pool reservation and set up camp at our favorite umbrella/beach spot.
Toni and Thomas joined us early and they tried out the turtle floatie that was given to them at the other hotel.
We spent part of the time at the pool (during our 2-hour reservation) before heading back to the beach again.
Auntie Yoon and Uncle Kurt joined us again and brought poi donuts from Liliha. Yum!!
The rest of the day was spent at the beach and we all took turns in the lounge chair floatie.
Peanut had a little too much fun on the turtle floatie and was falling asleep on the water.
We pulled him out of the waves and put him under the umbrella where he took a 2-hour nap in the same position!
It later started to rain so we had to pack up and head back upstairs to the hotel room.
