Earthquake Drill
Around the anniversary of the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake, schools in the Bay Area have an earthquake drill call the Great ShakeOut. We may be doing distance learning but Peanut’s class still had their drill. The teacher instructed them to hide under their desk, turned on a timer, and also hid under her own desk with the laptop. Peanut learned to stop, drop, and hold.
Southshore Center
We went to Southshore Center today and Peanut helped Mama with the shopping list at Trader Joe’s. He drew pictures of what we needed instead of trying to spell the words.
Snack Time
The kids love it when Mama sets up a snack station at the front door when they are outside playing.
Janie also gave Peanut a lesson on how to ride a skateboard today.
Kiwi Kit
We ordered a 6-month subscription of STEM kits that come in the mail. This month, the kids made their own mechanical claws.
Writing Assignment
This was one of Janie’s writing assignments. She wrote while at Yai’s house.
Sleeping
The boy fell asleep in Mama’s bed this evening.
Evening Ride
Duplo Cafe
Peanut built the Duplo cafe on his own today.
Glasses
Peanut wore his new blue-light-blocking glasses during Zoom class today.
