Peanut practiced diving for rings today.
Mama’s Day
The kids greeted Mama with a “Happy Mama’s Day!” and some cute gifts this morning.
Pool is Open!
Our community pool was closed all last summer and finally opened yesterday. This was such as treat. Peanut even exclaimed “I can’t believe we’re doing this!”
There’s a reservation system and we can have up to 6 people in our party. So, we invited Maya and Alek to join us. They had so much fun!
Tomatina
The kids joined Mama at Tomatina for dinner tonight. They did a great job working on their puzzle placemats while they waited for their food. It’s nice that Peanut can do word searches and mazes now.
Butterfly Practice
KK went to swim today and she is now in the Pre-Competitive class. She just does laps for the full 30 mins. We caught her butterfly stroke on video today. Looking good!
Godfrey Park
We went to Godfrey Park after school today with Maya. They did a great job safely following Mama on their bikes.
Monkey Bars
Afterschool, Dada took Peanut to the park to practice monkey bars. It’s the one Kindergarten skill that he hadn’t been able to practice or master because schools and playgrounds were closed. It was so good to see him finally be able to cross them on his own.
Letter to Teacher
Peanut made a card for his teacher today. The front was a drawing of an airplane.
Inside, it says “Thank you for teaching me math, science, and letters.” He also included a drawing of a butterfly.
Fish Biscuits
The kids spent the afternoon playing with PlayDoh and made a sheet pan of fish biscuits.
Peanut looks so proud.
Earhart Playground
Today we rode bikes to the school playground and someone was already inside so they opened the gate for us. The kids enjoyed playing on the big kid playground and wall ball with Dada.
There was also a game of dodgeball that I think Dada enjoyed a little too much.
