This is Janie’s new favorite position. She can pick her head up to look around now!
Today, Janie tried on a 3-month onesie. The newborn onesies still fit but this one has plenty of room for her ever-growing tummy.
I’m ready for the beach! Thanks for the outfit, Auntie Teresa! It’s going to come in handy in Santa Cruz next month when we drive down for your wedding!
Janie is 4 weeks old today!! Boy, time really flies when your life revolves around a little human.
Daddy had his first story time with Little Janie tonight and they cracked open the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. Yep, he didn’t start with “The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” or “Brown Bear, Brown Bear”. He chose “Lord of the Rings”. Janie looks like she’s thoroughly enjoying it so far.
I went for a 3-mile walk with Janie and Koa today. I expected Janie to get a good hour-long nap during our outing (as she usually does) but when I uncovered the stroller, I found a wide-eyed baby girl just enjoying the ride. She managed to stay awake for the entire outing.
Back in 2006, I fell in love with this quilt when I saw it in a small store in Hawaii. I bought it in hopes of finding a good use for it one day. It stayed in storage for 6 years and made its reappearance when Janie was born.
Janie turns 4 weeks old tomorrow and one month on Sunday so I took a photo of her with the quilt today. I think I’m going to do this every month for the rest of the year.
What is it about babies and their cheeks that make them so irresistible?!
I guess I don’t have to worry about her being malnourished.
This is Janie after she’s been fed, changed, and wrapped up into a burrito. Her eyes are usually wide open and she likes to just stare off in the distance without a care in the world.
