Janie started solids just in time for her first Thanksgiving and joined the grown-ups at the table. Ankong helped feed her and she enjoyed her very own turkey and sweet potato.
Ama and Ankong also gave her a new toy that moves and makes music every time you touch it. It’ll be perfect for play time on the floor.
Uncle Victor and Auntie Susie also came over for dinner and hung out with her on the floor.
Janie is so loved and we have so much to be thankful for!
Janie put on a pretty dress for church today and it was a good thing because she was taken to the front by Ama so that Pastor Frank could pray for her.
She sat quietly during the rest of service and seemed to enjoy the singing.
Afterward, she was introduced to a bunch of people and then had to say “goodbye” to Ankong before heading out to the airport.

She is one lucky baby!!
Janie sat at the table tonight for dinner. She even tried to join in the conversation.
This weekend, Ankong and Ama came up to visit Little Janie. They made a last-minute, very short trip this weekend because Ankong is heading to China for a month on Sunday night and Ama made a special ginger soup for Mommy to eat. Janie got lots of snuggle time with her grandparents.
On her birthday, she was lucky enough to meet 3 out of 4 grandparents. Grandma (“Yai”) was there for the whole labor and delivery process and greeted her after her bath.
Later that afternoon, her other Grandpa (“Ankong”) and Grandma (“Ama”) arrived to say hello to Janie for the first time.
Today, her other Grandpa (“Ta”) arrived.
She is one lucky girl to have so many people who love her.
Today was our discharge day and we had to wake her from a nap to change her clothes and strap her into the car seat. She was not pleased with either.
The car seat seemed too big for her and she cried and cried until Daddy started swinging the seat around. She was asleep within just seconds and seemed to also love the car ride home.
When we arrived, she had 3 grandparents and a doggie at home waiting to greet her.

Janie had some visitors today. She met Ama and Ankong for the first time this afternoon when she was only 5 hours old.
Later in the evening, Uncle Victor and Auntie Susie came to say “hello”.
