Janie was invited to do homework with Japser. They met up at Southshore Center to do their math and practice reading together.
After lunch, they also went bowling. We also learned that bowling is a great game for practicing addition.
Watch us grow!
We went to Safari Run this afternoon to celebrate Rowan’s 6th birthday.
Peanut had some cake but mostly wanted the fresh banana and whipped cream.
Maybe that’s what I’ll make for him on his 2nd birthday – banana and whipped cream pie.
After the lunch and cake, the kids had time in the arcade. Janie played the basketball game to earn tickets.
She also learned how to play air hockey.
Skee ball was fun but she needs work on her bowling skills.
Today, we went down to San Jose to celebrate Sadie and Theo’s 5th bithdays. It was an Octonauts party so Janie drew some pictures on their presents. The two go together. On the left is Captain Barnacles stuck in a giant clam and running out of air with the Gup A hanging out above the rough water. The scene on the right is Kwazii trying to rescue Captain in the Gup B. There is also a jellyfish and some fishies swimming in the water.
The party was at an underwater-themed bowling alley next to a Bass Pro Shop.
This was Janie’s first time bowling and she really liked using the ramp because it made the ball roll faster.

She wore bowling shoes and had several balls to choose from. This one had a fish on it.
Here’s the score card. As you can see, she made a strike in the 3rd frame and then a spare on the 4th. The girls also played for Peanut who got scared after his first try. I think it was too loud for him on the bowling lane.
After a round of bowling, the kids all gathered for cake. Auntie Ishya went all out on the decorations and party favors. Janie picked out a Captain Barnacles cookie.
The kids all wore their hats. Here’s Janie with her pal Sophie.
At the cake table, Peanut got in on the action. Pretty soon he will be eating cake with the rest of the kids.
Avia certainly enjoyed the banana cake.
Janie opted for a cupcake and Peanut just sat to the side and finished his lunch. He managed to wear the hat for a few minutes before he ripped it off.
Happy 5th Birthday to Theodore and Sadie!!
