It’s a back-to-back morning with KF and swim so we stopped at Jane Sweeney Park between the two classes.
This park is huge and has lots of fun things to explore.
The best part was the zipline.
Watch us grow!

Cerritos has some open playgrounds now! So fun!!!
When you have nothing to do at the park, you try to climb a redwood tree.
Five months ago, these two boys were the last ones left in their preschool before it finally had to close because of shelter-in-place ordinances. Today, they got to see each other again and it was so fun! Turns out they both learned how to ride two-wheeled bikes during their time in isolation and were so excited to ride together.
They are climbed the tree by the playground together and played like they had just seen each other yesterday at school.
The kids spent time at Auntie Jia’s house and did some coloring in the “classroom” at their house.
They also went for a walk to the playground.
This is a fun recess!
Then it was lunchtime and Alice and Leela joined them.
Janie wanted to show Mama what she could do on the playground. She said she “made up this routine”. I’m amazed at her upper body strength.
This morning we got up early and took an Uber to Diamond Head State Monument.
We met up with the Tsaos and were determined to get all the kids up the mountain.
Peanut had a slow start at first but he managed to get up the mountain all on his own.
The girls were up ahead and did great!
The kids took the 100 steps up to the top and went through the dark tunnel too.
We had to take a photo oat the top of the mountain! It was about 20 years ago that Mama and Dada first hiked up this crater together.
On the way down, Dada gave Peanut a little ride on the steeper parts.
At the bottom, we got some cold pineapple juice and Dole Whip.
Janie brought her camera along and took these photos of Mama and Peanut.
After our trolley ride back to Waikiki and some lunch at Duke’s, we headed back to the pool for some more swimming.
Then we went back upstairs to shower but made a point to hang out on the lanai to enjoy the sunset.
Dinner was pretty late but we had some good food at Highway Inn.
Peanut slept right through it and Janie stayed up long enough to eat and then fell asleep on the ride home. They had a lot of activity today and it was no surprise they were so tired by the end of the day.
It’s Veteran’s Day and with Mama at work and no school, Janie was invited to Jasper’s house for the whole day again. When she arrived, there was an agenda and then they were off!
They went to the playground again (across the street from his house).
They did some coding on their iPads.
After lunch, they made chocolate chip cookies and then went outside again while they cooled.
It looks like they had a lot of fun again!
We went to Liberty Park this morning. The kids played while the grown-ups ran around the track.
Now that he’s in Room 6, he gets to play on the Pre-K playground. This will be his 3rd (and last) playground at this school.
