Motor Development
At Samuel Merritt University (where Mama went to graduate school), the kids were invited to be a part of a motor development class. The instructors work with Mama and the other participants were are buddies Hudson and Henry (Auntie Teresa’s kids). They did a great job performing in front of a giant class of PT grad students.
They demonstrated various gross motor skills and it was great to have kids of different ages (7, 6, 4, and 3).
Morning Hopscotch
The kids were up early and went outside to practice their hopscotch skills in their pajamas.
Space Shuttle!!!
Today, we went to the California Science Center with all the cousins. There’s a cool aquarium area as well as a pretend play area but the thing that Peanut was looking forward to most was seeing the Space Shuttle up close!
He was pretty happy to see it but kept asking when it was going to blast off. He and Thomas were glued to the screen that showed the lift off on repeat.
Here’s Peanut giving a beaver a check-up in the pretend play area.
We love it when all 6 cousins get to play together!
Backyard Performance
We had a small gathering at Uncle Jimmy’s house this evening and the kids did a “performance” on the swing set today.
Pool is Open!
The neighborhood pool is open and heated! Janie is swimming all the way across the pool on her own now too! What a difference a year makes.
Busy Saturday
Saturday started at Maya’s house for her birthday party. She invited everyone in the Panda class so Peanut got to play with two old pals from their Butterfly class (last year’s class). While all the girls participated in the gymnastics class, he played cars with Franklin and Andersen.
After the party, Peanut rested on the sofa with Dada and watched one of the Avengers movies. That’s where he learned about Ironman and was so excited every time he appeared on in a scene.
After his nap, all the kids came out to play, including Ethan! They played with the remote-controlled car and Janie played on the swings with Gavin.
Kung Fu Stance
Peanut posed in his kung fu stance before making the jump off the step.
Letters and Jumping
Peanut learned how to make the letter G with sticks today.
He also showed off his jumping skills.
