Before swim class, we stopped for smoothies.
Then Peanut took his Tadpole class with Daddy.
He’s getting too bold for this class.
We can’t wait for him to turn 3 so he can start the Starfish class!
Watch us grow!
Our family from Vancouver is in town this weekend! Yay!
We met up with Auntie Amy, Uncle Jay, Amelia, and Ellie at the ferry and rode over to SF together!
For lunch, we went to Hog Island Oyster Co. It was super hot outside today.
The dads enjoyed some local beer in the shade while the kids ran around for a bit.
We went inside the Ferry Plaza to cool off and get some ice cream!!
The girls enjoyed chatting and exploring together. Love how it took them no time to warm up to each other. It was like we just saw them yesterday even though it was December when we last saw them in Hong Kong.
We tried to go to the playground but it was way too hot. So we spent some time in the shade at Justin Herman Plaza.
Next was a ride on Muni over to the mall. It was nice to be inside where it was a lot cooler.
At the mall, the kids played at the Lego store.
Then they took a bunch of rides up and down the spiral escalators with Dada.
For dinner, we walked to R&G Lounge so Auntie Amy could get some salt and pepper crab.
After dinner, we walked back to the ferry terminal and had a short ride back to Alameda. Peanut and Ellie shared some Cheetos while Amelia and Janie had some “alone time” at a separate table by the window.
Peanut loves to jump. We got two of his tricks on video today.
This one is in slow motion.
This one is into the pool with Dada.
Peanut attended his make-up swim class this morning with Mama. He didn’t want to give the instructor high-fives but did all the other activities in the class. The most surprising part was despite his reluctance to even be in the water, he LOVED jumping into the water into Mama’s arms. He did it over and over again until class was over. A nice lady took a video for us.
This afternoon, we went to Rockwall Wine Company to enjoy the view, some sunshine, and the wine. There was plenty of room for the kids to run and play.
We also walked next door to the pumpkin patch. Our neighbors joined us and Ellie and Alice really hit it off!
After his bath, he wasn’t ready to put clothes back on. Instead, he wanted to practice his jumping.
In today’s school pictures, the description said that he was practicing jumping down from the ledge in the sandbox and kept asking for more.
This was a funny one from today too.
I’ve been sick for the past two days and finally felt well enough to leave the house. So, I buckled Peanut up in the stroller and took a walk to Janie’s school.
She was up on the roof playing with WuWu (the one in yellow) and was pleasantly surprised to see me.
We decided to walk home and Janie ran to her heart’s content. It was finally a day that wasn’t raining and she wasn’t bogged down by a rain jacket and rain boots. We also got a few cute photos of them together at sunset.
This one (above) is my favorite.
Peanut also got to watch his big sister do some jumping. She looks like she’s ready for some parkour.
You can also hear Peanut giggling in the background. She’s so entertaining…
I know have TWO little monkeys on my couch. Peanut started climbing up on the couch using a footstool a few weeks ago and he has now shown me that he can get down on his own the safe way. These two really know how to keep Mama on her toes.
We woke up early this morning and headed to Muir Woods for the first time. They opened at 8 am and we were there early enough to get a parking spot in their lot and free admission.
What a was nice about getting there early was that it was nice and cool and super empty!
Janie brought her camera and had a fun time exploring and taking pictures of all the things that she found interesting.
She took lots of selfies too including this photo of her with Mama and Dada. Peanut was sleeping so he didn’t get included.

Here’s a photo of the “heart leaves”.
By the time we finished the trail, the sun came out in full force and so did the crowd. We stopped for a snack at the Visitors Center and Peanut woke up for his snack – a tuna sandwich!
Janie got a pressed penny for doing such a good job on our mini hike and waiting until the end for a snack since food was not allowed on the trails.
Peanut also got to stretch his legs and explore the area.
The carved bears were pretty cool!
Peanut is not quite walking on his own yet but he does a pretty good job walking with a little help.He looks so pleased with himself.
What a fun morning walk in the woods!
