We arrived at the airport rather early so there was time to play and eat lunch.  The flight went alright aside from having to sit on the plane an additional (and painful) 30 minutes when we arrived at our gate in SF.

Mama and the kids deplaned first and waited for Dada to come out with the stroller.

img_5690

We found a little spot for them to get their energy out.

After stopping for dinner, we didn’t get home until about 8pm and both were wiped out. What a fun trip!

Packing up

img_5670

It’s our last morning in Mexico! The kids were up early today so Janie went swimming with Dada while Peanut stayed in the room with Mama. He did a pretty good job keeping himself occupied while Mama packed and cleaned up.

img_5672

We had one last breakfast at the usual spot and everyone was in a pretty good mood.

img_5675

Finally it was time to say goodbye to our home for the past 4 days.

img_5679

We got one last photo before our driver arrived to take us to the airport. We had a great time at the Sheraton Grand Hacienda del Mar!

Evening Dip

img_5666

We went for one more dip in the pool this evening before dinner.

img_5661

This time, we played in the middle pool with the shallow/sloped entrance.

This was the best we could do.

Here’s a flying Peanut and a photobomb by Janie while a beauty pageant photoshoot was taking place above her.

Janie had no problems falling asleep this evening. Looks like she had quite an activity-filled day.

lunch and siesta

img_5619

We had lunch at the pool bar and Peanut snuck out of the stoller on his own today.

He’s on the loose!

img_5630

Once we got him back in, big sister kept him entertained.

Then it was back to our room for some quiet time. Peanut played in the crib and Janie got a little screen time. Aaaahhh…

breakfast hijinks

img_5608

Going to the breakfast buffet each morning has been a great way to start the day. There was plenty of food for everyone to enjoy at their own pace.

imgp0144

This morning, Janie brought her camera along and we snapped a few candids during our meal. She took this of her little brother waiting for Mama to get him more food.

imgp0145

Dada took this photo of Janie in her seat. ]

imgp0150

Then Janie took this photo of Mama and Peanut – and her fingers too.

Mama took this photo of Janie and Dada. Pretty funny…

pool and beach

img_5605

After our siesta, it was back to the water. This time, we went to another new pool where the view was so nice and had easy access to the beach down below.

Mama took Peanut down to the sand and to check out the crazy waves the hotel staff was warning us about.

img_5595

The waves were too dangerous to play in but fun to watch from afar.

img_5600

Back at the hotel, everyone washed up. Our room had a big tub that had a window out to the rest of the room. It was perfect for supervising Janie while Mama tidied up.

img_5604

For dinner, we had sushi – weird, I know. The fish was actually pretty good and we all got to enjoy a relaxing dinner in a restaurant that was air conditioned and free of mosquitoes.

siesta

img_5564

After the Kids Pool, we walked back to our room to cool off.

img_5567

It was time for our daily siesta. Janie hung out with Dada on the patio for a bit while Peanut went down for a nap.

img_5571

Then it was Dada’s turn to nap while Janie watched some cartoons in Spanish.
