Sometimes this kids takes us through his emotional rollercoaster. He’s happy and silly one minute and then melts down the next.
This is what he did when we told him to eat his eggs.
99 Ranch Market
Going to 99 Ranch Market with the kids is always an adventure. Why did we go to the aquarium when we could have just taken them here? They even had live blue crabs just sitting in a bucket for us to see up close.
Peanut “helped” by pulling shiitake mushroom packets off the shelf and putting them in the cart. We ended up with about 5 in the cart by the time I turned around.
Janie was the actual helper bringing things from Dada over to the shopping cart.
This one later got scolded for pulling too many things off the shelves.

Rough Evening
Dada is in San Jose for the next 3 days and has been working late. He wasn’t expected home until very late (riding the train back) and Janie had a very hard time dealing with it for some reason. She kept saying “I want Dada to come home now.” It just started out as a pout with some whining.
Then it turned into this face and eventually some tears.
She finally went to bed and fell asleep by 10pm…way before Dada got home. She seems fine when he’s in France but then has a meltdown when he’s an hour-drive away. Weirdo.
Pout Pout Fish
Peanut is so good at making the pout pout lip. It’s like his warning to us all that he’s unhappy about something. He got this from Mama’s maternal grandmother.
When his maternal great grandmother’s pout is coupled with his paternal great grandmother’s scowl, he is the most adorable little pout pout fish I’ve ever seen.
Lower Lip
This girl knows how to pout like the best of them. Daddy’s going to be in trouble later because how can you say no to this face?! By the way, this is only a mini-pout. Her lower lip comes out even more if she’s REALLY unhappy.
