You really can have too much of a good thing. This morning, these two girls didn’t get along as well as they have been all week. At least they look cute in their matching hoodies from Auntie Marie!
Sad Face
Someone had a rough evening. Being 4 and a half is hard sometimes.
3rd Day of Preschool
This morning, Dada had an early meeting in the office so Mama and Yai drove her to school and Mama did the drop-off. She tried to be brave but had such a sad look on her face. She showed me her cubby and the door to her classroom.
She’s an alligator this year. Before I left, she grabbed my leg and said, “don’t go” and had a few tears. I said goodbye and the teacher consoled her.
Dada picked her up this afternoon and the teacher reported that she was fine after the initial tears. They actually walked home today, which took about an hour since she was so distracted by everything she saw on the way home.
Luckily, our umbrella stroller arrived this afternoon and now they will have a little help getting her to and from school within a reasonable amount of time.
1st Day of Preschool
Our little girl started preschool today!! Initially she said she didn’t want to go but somehow we got her fed, changed, and shoes on.
We also got her giraffe backpack that matches her lunchbag.
This was the best I could do in getting a photo of her this morning.
Dada was going take her to school on the train today and she was pretty excited.
There they go!! Bye, Baby Girl!!
At drop-off, Janie was sad and said she cried for her Daddy. Dada also said that she said “I want my grandma.”
Look at that face. It was probably a good idea that Mama didn’t do the drop-off.
Around snacktime, Dada went back to check on her. She was doing better but still very quiet. She had pancakes but refused the syrup. What?! That’s not like her! When I asked her later why she didn’t have syrup, she said “I eat syrup at home.” She was still a bit sad to see Dada leave the second time but was fine once she found the water table.
In the afternoon, we picked her up on our way to Peanut’s doctor’s appointment. She was in good spirits and was able to report some of the things she did and one friend that she played with. When I checked her lunch, she managed to eat all the rice and chicken that I sent with her but left everything else. I’m just happy she was able to eat something.
pout pout face
Mondays are no fun for everyone, including Janie. She had such a fit when Mommy left for work this morning. 10 minutes later, Daddy sent this photo of her pouting in bed with her friends.
Emesis x3
Janie’s always been a good eater and has only spit up once since she was born. Unfortunately, something didn’t agree with her stomach this evening and she woke up around 11 pm crying and then as soon as I picked her up, she threw up all over me. About a minute later, she threw up again! After that was all done, I gave her a quick bath and changed her PJs. This photo was taken after her second emesis. She looked so bummed out. While she sat on my lap for a bit, she had another one! She seemed fine after that third emesis and finally fell back asleep while I took a shower of my own. Poor baby.
