Daddy took Janie into the pool for the first time today. She looked a bit concerned at first. I’m just happy that she didn’t start crying.
We also tried out the floatie.
Once she had a minute to process everything, she seemed ok with it.
This girl knows how to pout like the best of them. Daddy’s going to be in trouble later because how can you say no to this face?! By the way, this is only a mini-pout. Her lower lip comes out even more if she’s REALLY unhappy.
We took a walk this morning and bumped into Baby Reese at the corner light. You can see her giraffe sticking out from the stroller.
Here’s the park. It was overcast outside but Janie was still squinting and scowling as if the sun was out.
She was also more interested in eating her hand than looking at the trees today.
Looks like it’s time for a nap.

This morning Janie started out well and then got a bit grouchier as the morning progressed. She has learned how to complain by doing a pretend cry without tears.
Here she is an hour later. She’s still grouchy but able to just chill out on her own with her trusty giraffe.
This afternoon Janie got to read a book with Daddy. It’s called “That’s Not My Dinosaur”. She looked a little concerned that the mouse couldn’t find her dinosaur.
Little Janie attended her first wedding today. It was outside in 78-degree weather so she was comfy in her pretty purple dress. Mommy was in the wedding and Daddy had a lot of help from friends like Auntie Mai.

Today Janie turns 7 weeks old and we’re kicking it off with her first road trip! We’re headed to Santa Cruz right now for a wedding this weekend and hopefully it will be warm outside.
Janie is 7 weeks old today! She just finished her 6-week growth spurt and we’ve officially packed away the rest of her newborn clothes. She looks unhappy in this photo because she had a poopy diaper.
