The kids spent the afternoon playing with PlayDoh and made a sheet pan of fish biscuits.
Peanut looks so proud.
Watch us grow!

After three years of lessons, KK has gone through all the swim levels and passed the final one today! She will now move on to the pre-competitive level just for extra practice. So proud of her!
Today is KK’s birthday!! She turns 9 today and I tend to get sentimental when the first born has a birthday.
She opened her gift from Auntie Jia and Uncle Jason and loves her new scooter!
In the morning, she went to school and found her desk all decorated. They also had a digital birthday wall with messages left by her classmates.
We also went to dinner at Trabocco for a tasty birthday meal.
The chef came out with a birthday treat and sang “Happy Birthday” to her.
Happy Birthday, Baby Girl! We love you!
Ethan came over today to play. The boys had fun riding bikes and climbing the tree.
It’s our last morning here and we couldn’t help take one last photo of the spectacular view from the lanai.
It was a fun trip and we hope we can return again soon.
Peanut and Mama went to Leonard’s Bakery to pick up some tasty malasadas this morning.
Then it was off to the beach for the rest of the day.
The kids helped tow Dada into the ocean today on the donut floaties. They looked pretty ridiculous out there.
Hanauma Bay was closed for a year during the pandemic and finally reopened recently. We were excited to see the fish return and to see if the coral had time to repair. The process for getting an entry was not easy though. Mama got up early and drove to the entrance to pick up a reservation.
When it was our time, we were allowed to enter, watched the short video, and headed down to the beach.
The fish were at knee level so Peanut could enjoy them from the shore. Meanwhile, Janie and Dada went out to explore.
We all had fun exploring and just hanging out in the beautiful fish sanctuary.
At lunch, there was a large bird hanging out in the restaurant. How funny.
For dinner, we went to our favorite katsu place and Peanut had a yummy kid’s bento meal.
We drove to North Shore today and visited the turtles. They were surfing in the waves and didn’t feel like napping today.
The shrimp truck was also closed today so we stopped at McDonald’s for a fried apple pie. Janie is big fan!
And you can’t forget the shave ice!
In the afternoon, we went to Rainbow Drive-In and had a picnic at the park.
Then we visited the Honolulu Zoo. The kids had never been and there was so much to see!
After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and caught the sunset. Ah…so pretty.
This morning, a nice woman gave us these two donut floaties. I love how guests in Waikiki will give you their gear before they head home. We have given away so many sand toys in the past and it was fun to receive some this time.
The kids had so much fun.
