For Thanksgiving, Janie helped Dada quite a bit. She even prepped and cooked the mushrooms herself.
What a big girl we have now!
Dinner was delicious and we were so happy to be with the family for Thanksgiving this year. It was are first time in many years!!
For our little family of four, we had a giant table of food enough to feed at least 8 more people. Dada doesn’t know how to downsize.

As a fun little activity, we picked up a gingerbread turkey kit from Trader Joe’s. The kids had fun decorating it with icing bags and candy.
Mommy only helped with making a border for all the candy and assembling the pieces. They did the rest and it was a sugary fabulous mess!

Janie made pumpkin pie today! She read the instructions on the can and had a little help with measuring and pouring.
Here is the pie when it was all done. It tasted yummy too!
It’s Thanksgiving Day and the kids started their morning sorting cranberries for Mama. They had to separate the mushy ones from the solid ones.
Later, Peanut did some “cooking” with the leftover berries.
They also set up a restaurant with a cranberry theme to their menu.
The kitchen remodel wasn’t completed in time so we went to Uncle Jimmy’s house to cook the turkey. While Dada did the cooking, the kids played together.
When the turkey came out, the kids were so excited to taste it and got some little pieces as it was being carved.
When it was time to eat, the kids sat at the little table together. So cute!

After all three toddlers took a late nap, they woke up refreshed and ready to play.
Meanwhile Dada made Thanksgiving dinner for us all.
Peanut was getting hungry and wanted Thanksgiving to start right way.
We had all the usual fixings and Janie helped set the table.
Peanut had his first Thanksgiving meal and loved the turkey.
He also got a small portion of all the sides and loved using his fork to stab everything.
Janie especially loved her Dada’s mashed potatoes. She says they’re the best.
Everyone enjoyed the tasty feast and it was so much fun to have Uncle Jason and Auntie Jia back in town.
Janie partied into the later hours of Thanksgiving Day and ended up falling asleep with Ama on the couch. Looks comfy.
Janie started solids just in time for her first Thanksgiving and joined the grown-ups at the table. Ankong helped feed her and she enjoyed her very own turkey and sweet potato.
Ama and Ankong also gave her a new toy that moves and makes music every time you touch it. It’ll be perfect for play time on the floor.
Uncle Victor and Auntie Susie also came over for dinner and hung out with her on the floor.
Janie is so loved and we have so much to be thankful for!
