Belly Time! a video by beakatude on Flickr.
Janie made a mess of her clothes during dinner tonight so I had to take them off to treat the stains. In the meantime, she entertained me with some belly drum music.

Daddy flew out to Colorado this morning for a conference. So Janie had a full day of activity with Mommy. Here are some highlights:
Shopping at Target.
Snacks and a Walk Outside
Janie got her first set of Legos.
A Ride on Muni to the Mall
Janie went to the playground and played with a car she found.
She was having so much fun that when it was time to go home, she had a super tantrum. She cried so hard she almost passed out. It was pretty scary for Mommy.
Koa made her feel better on the ride home.
We had dinner in San Mateo and Janie got a little antsy. It was a warm evening and she LOVED wandering around freely in the courtyard.
Auntie Jia and Uncle Jason were volunteering at the festival in Foster City today so we went to check it out. Janie had a fun time walking around and smiling at all the people.
Janie loves seeing her auntie and uncle too!!
We had a beautiful Saturday morning in SF and it was perfect weather for heading out to the Farmer’s Market in shorts and a tank top!
There were so many things to look at and Janie took a little walk around while Mommy picked up breakfast.
Janie had a good time tasting Daddy’s egg salad and Mommy’s avocado. Yum.
Ah…that was a tasty breakfast!
We had a picnic at Alamo Square Park today and there was a toddler playground including some swings.
Janie still loves swinging!
The rocking turtle was pretty fun too!
Look at her go!
Janie had fun hanging out on the grass with Mommy, Daddy, and Koa.
“Mmm…grapes.”
She also tried walking on the hilly grass but it was pretty hard.
Here she is in front of the “Painted Ladies” and the SF skyline. What a pretty day!
This morning, Janie introduced Uncle Nathan to dim sum for the first time.
Afterward, Janie got to roam around the fountain area with her gal pal Sophie.
Janie was a little scared of the fountain at first but eventually warmed up to it.
It’s fun to see the two toddlers next to each other. Sophie’s gait is so much more refined than Janie’s.
This is Janie’s more advanced version of walking. She’s so proud of being able to walk and clap at the same time.
Janie loves that she can move her arms freely as she walks now. Sometimes it looks like she’s going to fly away.
Janie had a good time at Portland Airport. The flight was delayed an hour so she got to walk around and explore the place.
Here she is watching the rain fall outside.
She also got a little grouchy because it was running into her nap time.
Her favorite part was riding the moving walkways. It was like a baby treadmill!
On the plane, she sat in an empty middle seat and played with her new Magna Doodle and flipped through her book. She did great on our flight back to SF.
Janie visited Multnomah Falls this afternoon. Before heading to the main attraction, Daddy took her up a hill to see Latourell Falls.
She enjoyed the ride in the backpack.
Here’s the waterfall!
And here’s the famous Multnomah Falls!
Janie also got to roam around and learned how to walk down a hill without falling. She had fun but it was a bit nerve-wracking for Mommy.
What a fun afternoon!
