Janie is traveling again! This time she’s headed to Portland!
There was so time to kill so she played at the gate and watched the planes and luggage go by.
“Is that our plane, Momma?”
She had a hard time settling down on the flight but finally fell asleep upon landing. It was just enough to give her a second wind as we waited for the rental car.
I finally caught this on video. She’s so independent now…getting up and just walking away.
Janie went to Manhattan Beach today with Mommy, Uncle Johnny, and Auntie Joy. She got a warm-up by holding Auntie Joy and Mommy’s hands.
Then she took off on her own!

Janie visited the small aquarium at the end of Manhattan Beach Pier today. It’s that little house at the top of the photo.
On the way down, she stopped to check out the surf.
Here’s the big eel that swam past her.
She also tried to touch the shark.
This one had a little sting ray inside.
What fun!
Janie made it across the room today! I counted over 20 steps. Great job, baby!
Janie took full advantage of No-Pants Friday today. Walking is much easier when you’re not tripping over your pants.

“KThxBye! I’ve got some walking to do!”
This morning Janie tried walking with me holding her hand and Grandpa captured it on video while we were on FaceTime.
I also finally got a video of her taking some independent steps at Auntie Ranee’s house. She actually took 5 steps on toward Auntie Ishya today too. That’s my sturdy baby!
Who needs a walking toy when you have an empty banker’s box?!
