Watch us grow!
Yai arrived this afternoon and she was reflecting on it felt like just yesterday that we had brought Janie home from the hospital.
Now Janie’s standing and cruising and it’s getting harder to keep up with her. Janie had a good time playing with Yai and showing off all her new tricks.
Unfortunately, she was way too excited that evening and protested when we put her down for the night.
Early this morning, Yai and Ta left for the airport. Janie was still sleeping but woke up right before they left so they were able to say goodbye. See you next time!
Janie came along for our breakfast in Chinatown this morning. There were lots of kids at the restaurant this morning. You can see them all staring at her in the background. She spent a good amount of time staring at them too.
There was a lot going on outside in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year. She had lots to see and hear that morning.
Yai and Ta arrived this evening and there was just enough time for Janie to have a meal with them before going to bed.
Janie had to say goodbye to her loving grandparents today.

On Christmas Eve, we all took Janie to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure for the first time.
Here is Janie with Mommy on Main Street, USA.
Her first ride at Disneyland was the Finding Nemo Submarine Ride.
At first, she had a really good time seeing the fish and bubbles through the window. Then the ride got really dark and with that coupled with a hungry belly, she cried for the last half of the ride. Oh well.
Janie went to Bug’s Land and rode her first twirly ride too.
Weeeeee!
Later that day, she woke up from her nap just in time for the Christmas Parade.
She really enjoyed the music, dancing, and lights.
Her favorite ride at Disneyland was It’s a Small World.
There was so much to see and hear!
What a fun day (and night)! Janie was a trooper out there in the rain and with all the noise and people. She took her usual naps, ate like a champ, and really seemed to enjoy all the lights and sounds of Disneyland. Until next time!!!
This weekend I took out the feeder seat that we’re going to use for when we start Janie on solids. She’s sitting up better now so it’s great to have her up in a chair with a tray that can hold her toys.
This morning, we tried it out and it fits perfectly. Since she enjoyed sitting in it so much, I thought it would be fun to call Yai and Ta.
She looked like she was taking a conference call. Love it! Maybe we can schedule some future virtual babysitting soon!
Janie got to hang out with Uncle Johnny today. Now who’s imitating who in this photo?! They even have matching hair.

Janie talks to Yai and Ta almost everyday. Now that we have FaceTime on our computers too, she can see them even better on the bigger screen.
