We rode the train to the zoo today. Of course the train ride is part of the fun and standing at the window is such a treat.
Our first stop at the zoo was the playground. She’s getting pretty good at going up and down this slide now.
Today she asked to see a lion but they were hard to see. Luck for us, we spotted a tiger play with a ball. Here it is from the far window.
Then we moved over to the side window to get a better look. No zoom lens needed for this tiger!
At the gift shop, Janie insisted on giving the giraffe a big hug.
Then we stuck around for the 4:30 giraffe feeding in the lodge.
On our ride back to downtown, Janie had a quick snack and used Daddy as a pillow.
When we got to Embarcadero Station, she wave goodbye to the train.
Riding the escalator is always fun for her.
Instead of going home, we went to the Ferry Plaza to grab some dinner.
Luckily there’s a little store next door to buy some extra milk.
This was just enough to last us the rest of the evening.
For dinner, Janie had Mommy’s favorite clam chowder.
Yummy soup!
